The Artistic Explorations of Public Space project introduces a series of five urban art workshops, five guided tours, an open call, an artistic intervention co-produced by two artists from different fields (visual art and music), and an exhibition, all of which are free of charge, intending to promote the understanding and exploration of public spaces through art in the neighbourhoods of Bucharest.
As compared to art galleries, street art has always been a reflection of the society and culture of a particular country. The artworks are typical works that depict social, political, or cultural commentary. In this way, they have the power to change the society into which they are embedded. This applies especially to street art from developing countries which reflects current events and social issues its people face. Check out our top 5 street art in Bucharest to see if the Artistic Exploration of Public Space is the event you should attend.
The Artistic Explorations of Public Space cultural project’s activities begin with an open request for urban art photography. Photographers and urban explorers will locate and photograph three new street art pieces. Three prizes are given out in the open call, and the chosen images will be displayed at the transdisciplinary exhibition in October 2022.
Save or Cancel invites everyone to a series of five urban art workshops, supported by some of the most well-liked and active street artists in Bucharest, including Serebe, SANDi, John Dot S, and Octav Avramescu. Participants can take part at no cost, and all required supplies will be provided. Participants will also collaborate and talk shop with their favourite artists.
According to Arcub, everyone who wishes to be inspired by art, make something with their own hands, and learn from the artists is welcome to attend the workshops in Bucharest. Attendance is open to everyone. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about these outstanding artists and their works distinctively and interactively, even if you are not an artist or a follower of street art.
