Cinema Under the Stars returns to Bucharest between July 17 and August 16, 2026, bringing 15 free outdoor film screenings to five parks in Sector 6. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening, a different park becomes an open-air cinema where visitors can watch films on a giant screen, starting at 8:00 p.m.
Those who will not catch a boat will relax at the movie on colourful pouffes, placed on the grass, with a cold tea.
The 2026 edition takes place over five consecutive weekends, moving to a different park in Sector 6 every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The programme starts at ANL Constantin Brâncuși Park and continues at Drumul Taberei, Crângași, Liniei, and Marin Preda parks.
Cinema Under the Stars Bucharest 2026: Dates and Locations
Cinema Under the Stars takes place between July 17 and August 16, 2026, in five parks across Sector 6. The event includes 15 free screenings organised over five consecutive weekends.
A different park hosts the event each weekend, with one film shown on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All screenings begin at 8:00 p.m., and admission is free. Visitors can bring blankets, folding chairs and snacks and enjoy the films in the open air.
The programme includes adventure films, animations, comedies, fantasy productions and films suitable for families and children.

Films announced for the 2026 edition include How to Train Your Dragon, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Tron: Ares, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Smurfs and Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy. The complete park-by-park schedule will be updated as it is officially announced.
