Do you want to enjoy a movie under the starry sky? Then the Cinema Under the Stars event is for you. For almost a month, you can enjoy movies under the sky in Drumul Taberei Park in Bucharest.
Moreover, how about a movie on the lake? Drumul Taberei Park‘s lake will be transformed into a cinema on the water for three days. The fountain in the middle of the lake will be placed with an inflatable screen 12 meters long and nearly 7 meters high, and viewers will watch the movies from 20 boats and 14 hydro bikes. These will be provided to the first visitors to the pier without charge. One hour before the start of the event, access to the lake will be provided. Those who will not catch a boat will relax at the movie on colourful pouffes, placed on the grass, with a cold tea.

Like every end of summer, for a month, the large parks in Sector 6 are transformed into open-air cinemas, with free access. “Cinema under the stars” is back! The movie marathon starts this very weekend, in Constantin Brâncuși Park. Here is the complete program!
Cinema Under Stars: When? Where?

“Cinema under the stars” takes place between August 8 and September 7, in 5 parks: Constantin Brâncuși, Liniei, Crângasi, Drumul Taberei and Marin Preda. In each park, three films are shown, three consecutive evenings – Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 8:30 p.m.
They will run on giant screens, and viewers will watch them from colourful pouffes, chairs, benches, on the grass or even from boats and pedal boats. Everything is free! Like last year, in Drumul Taberei Park, there will be two screens – one facing the amphitheatre and one facing the lake.
The City Hall of Sector 6, the organiser of the event, has prepared productions of all genres, for all tastes and ages, from animation, science fiction, to comedies, adventure, and action. The films for children are dubbed in Romanian. “Captain America”, “The Witches” and “Some Like Jazz” are the films that can be seen this first weekend, in Constantin Brancusi Park.
So, all summer, until the beginning of autumn, in Sector 6 we will enjoy quiet evenings with movies under the moonlight, friends, popcorn and incredible experiences!
