Akua Naru returns to Bucharest with a concert that will take place at the Roman Arenas – Arenele Romane on April 5, 2024. The event is part of the „All About Love: New Visions” tour.
Adults Sherdley & Ouch Collective – Bianca Mocan, Andria Obor, and Mădălina Găceanu will take the stage in the opening.
Akua Naru’s new album will be released this spring. It is live material that includes beloved tracks like „Poetry: How Does It Feel?” and new compositions that celebrate the power of unconditional love. The album benefits from the accompaniment of the band Ensemble Resonanz.
Akua Naru combines sensitive lyrics in her songs, introducing elements of jazz and traditional African music in all his performances. Her first successful album was released in 2011 – „The Journey Aflame”. Since then, Akua Naru has released three more discographic materials: „The Live & Aflame Sessions” (2012), „The Miner’s Canary” (2015) and „The Blackest Joy” (2018).
