    Big Little Festival for families
Friday, 24 July 2026 / Published in Top Bucharest

Big Little Festival 2026: August 21–23 at Mogoșoaia Palace

Big Little Festival returns near Bucharest between August 21 and 23, 2026, transforming the grounds of Mogoșoaia Palace into a large playground for children, parents and the entire extended family.

The three-day event combines live concerts, theatre, storytelling, creative workshops, science experiments, sport, gaming and outdoor relaxation. Rather than separating entertainment for children from activities for adults, the festival is designed around experiences that families can enjoy together.

Organisers describe Big Little Festival as the largest event in Eastern Europe dedicated exclusively to family experiences and entertainment.

Big Little: A Festival Created for the Entire Family

Big Little Festival welcomes children, parents, grandparents and other family members, with activities designed for different ages and interests. The 2026 edition is organised across eight themed areas, each offering its own programme of performances, games and interactive experiences.

Visitors can move between energetic outdoor games, creative workshops, concerts and quieter spaces throughout the day. Some activities are created especially for children, while others encourage parents and children to participate as a team.

    Big Little Festival 2026 Line-Up

Concerts take place on the Main Stage during all three festival days. The line-up announced for the 2026 edition includes several popular Romanian performers:

Friday, August 21: VAMA and Antonia Grigore
Saturday, August 22: Andra, Alina Sorescu and Picii
Sunday, August 23: Smiley and Cristian Porcari

The musical programme is intended for a broad family audience, with concerts scheduled alongside the festival’s daytime activities and performances.

    Eight Themed Festival Areas @BigLittle

The Main Stage hosts the principal concerts and entertainment shows, while the other themed areas allow families to build their own programme according to the children’s ages and interests.

    The Playground

The Playground brings together physical activities and familiar childhood games. Families can explore a 1,000-square-metre inflatable park, enter the NERF Arena or rediscover traditional games played across generations.

The wider activity programme also includes football, badminton, volleyball, padel, archery, giant Jenga, air hockey and table football.

    Music Camp

Created in partnership with HaHaHa Production, Music Camp gives children and families the opportunity to experience a real music studio. Participants can record their voices, write lyrics, experiment with sounds and learn more about music production.

The area also includes karaoke, rhythm activities and Bingo Disco, combining music with games and family participation.

    The Quiet Retreat

The Quiet Retreat provides a calmer alternative to the festival’s busier areas. Families can rest in hammocks and beanbags, listen to folk and café-concert performances or take a break between activities.

The space is designed for visitors who need a quieter moment without leaving the festival grounds.

    Story World

Story World is dedicated to theatre, books, dance and interactive performances. Children can meet storybook characters, participate in theatrical games, visit the Story Library or leave a message in the Wish Tree.

The programme also includes interactive theatre and activities in which children become part of the performance rather than remaining only spectators.

    Gaming Arena

The Gaming Arena offers console games, competitions and free-play sessions for children and adults. The area includes PlayStation consoles, football games and spaces where families can compete or play together.

    Creation and Science Laboratory

The Creation and Science Laboratory combines practical workshops with educational activities. Children can work with clay, paint, make origami, build objects and take part in experiments designed to introduce scientific ideas through play.

Other announced activities include creative sand, plaster painting, clothing and accessory painting, candle-making and workshops where children can design costumes or other objects.

    Mother and Child Area

Families travelling with babies and toddlers can use a dedicated Mother and Child area. The space is intended for feeding, changing, resting and caring for children up to three years old.

It also includes a multisensory area and first-aid courses covering essential information for parents of young children.

Food and Festival Facilities at the Big Little Festival in Mogosoaia

Big Little Festival includes a dedicated food area offering snacks and meals for families spending an entire day at the event. Relaxation spaces are distributed throughout the festival, allowing visitors to alternate active experiences with quieter breaks.

Because the programme includes numerous simultaneous activities, families should check the final daily schedule before arriving and decide which concerts, workshops and experiences they do not want to miss.

Tickets for Big Little Festival 2026

    Big Little cover

Tickets are available online, including passes valid for the entire three-day festival and tickets providing access for one selected day. Special promotional and birthday packages may also be available, depending on remaining capacity.

Prices and promotions can change as the festival approaches, so visitors should consult the official ticket platform before purchasing.

Big Little Festival 2026 takes place from August 21 to August 23 at Mogoșoaia Palace, offering three days of concerts, games, creativity and shared experiences within easy reach of Bucharest.

How to Reach Big Little Festival

Big Little Festival takes place at Mogoșoaia Palace, northwest of Bucharest.

Visitors using public transport can take the metro to Străulești and continue with STB bus 436 towards Mogoșoaia. The Parcul Mogoșoaia stop is located within a short walk of the festival.

Travelling by train is another option. Visitors must get off at Mogoșoaia Parc halt, not Mogoșoaia railway station. From the halt, the festival area is approximately 18 minutes away on foot.

Those arriving by car should expect limited parking near the venue. The organisers recommend using the paid Park & Ride facility at Străulești and continuing by public transport. Taxi and ride-sharing services can also be used to avoid searching for parking close to the palace.
