Piazzetta Italiana by Birra Moretti takes place on Sunday, July 26, 2026, between 12:00 and 22:00, in Piața Italiană in Bucharest. Entry is free.
For one day, the streets around the square will be closed to road traffic, transforming the area into an Italian-inspired public space with live music, food, a terrace, interactive installations and traditional games.
The event is inspired by the role of Italian piazzas as natural meeting places where people gather, talk, eat and spend time together. Birra Moretti brings this atmosphere to Bucharest through an event centred on food, music and the simple pleasure of sharing an afternoon with others.
Italian-Inspired Activities in Piața Italiană
Most activities at La Piazzetta Italiana are open to all visitors throughout the day.
The programme includes:
- a photobooth inspired by the classic Italian street photo booth;
- an interactive photo corner where visitors can take pictures on a Vespa, against an Italian piazza backdrop;
- DJ music and a live performance by Ad Libitum Voices, featuring Italian-inspired songs;
- food trucks;
- a terrace and bar area;
- a bocce court;
- an interactive social game designed to help participants meet one another.
Live Music by Ad Libitum Voices
Ad Libitum Voices will perform live during the event, bringing a selection of songs inspired by Italian music and culture to Piața Italiană.
DJ music will complete the programme and accompany the daytime activities, the food area, and the evening atmosphere.
Panini Workshop with Chef Cătălin Rizea
Chef Cătălin Rizea will lead a panini workshop dedicated to one of Italy’s most recognisable street-food dishes.
Participation is not open to the general public. Places are limited and reserved exclusively for winners of the competition organised on social media.
Paint & Sip Workshop with Formaa Atelier

Formaa Atelier will organise a Paint & Sip workshop where participants can paint in an Italian-inspired setting and enjoy the event’s atmosphere.
Access to this workshop is also restricted. Only the named winners selected through the social media competition can participate.
A Traffic-Free Sunday in Piața Italiană
By temporarily removing road traffic from the area, La Piazzetta Italiana turns Piața Italiană into a space for socialising, outdoor dining, music and urban recreation.
Visitors can stop for food and drinks, listen to live music, play bocce, explore the interactive installations or simply spend time on the terrace.
