The Monument of the Romanian Infantry

The monument of the Romanian Infantry that you can admire in Kiseleff Park has the signature of the sculptor Ioan Bolborea.

It was inaugurated on April 27, 2000, on the occasion of the 170th anniversary of the founding of the Roman Infantry. Shaped in 50 tons of steel and 10 meters high, it is a tribute to the heroes of the First World War and the Second World War.

Soldiers with broken bodies look at the sky in despair that underscores the memory of infantry sacrifices. The sacrifices of the Romanians of yesterday for the Romanians of today.

This monument is more precious as it is the only one that pays homage to the soldiers who sacrificed themselves over time.
