Family Picnic – Picnic în Familie returns to Bucharest on Saturday, September 5, 2026, with a Back to School edition dedicated to children, parents and grandparents.
Organised by Social Moms, the event takes place in Alexandru Ioan Cuza Park, also known as IOR or Titan Park, between 10:00 and 19:00. Admission is free, but visitors must register in advance.
A Back to School Day for the Entire Family
Family Picnic combines a day outdoors with creative workshops, educational activities, games and live entertainment for children of different ages.
The Back to School edition offers families a relaxed way to prepare for the new school year without giving up the summer holiday atmosphere. Parents and children are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket, healthy snacks and everything they need for several hours in the park.
Creative and Educational Workshops
Children can participate in creative and educational workshops designed around learning through play. The activities cover different interests and age groups, allowing families to build their own programme throughout the day.
The organisers will announce the final schedule, including individual workshop times, closer to the event.
Games, Sports and Family Activities
The programme includes games, sports and interactive activities in which children and parents can participate together.
Rather than remaining spectators, families are encouraged to join the activities, accept challenges and spend time together away from screens and the usual school routine.
Theatre, Music and Dance
A dedicated stage will host theatre, music, dance and sports demonstrations during the day. The programme will also include competitions, surprises and a prize raffle for participating families.

Free Admission with Registration
Admission is free for children, parents and grandparents. However, participation requires a reservation through the registration form provided by Social Moms.
