The Italian Square (Piața Italiană) in Bucharest becomes a festive meeting point on Saturday, 30 May, and Sunday, 31 May 2026, as Festa di Rusalii brings together Romanian tradition, Italian spirit, food, music, and a sense of community in one of the city’s central squares.
The event takes place between 11:00 and 22:00 on both days at the Italian Square – Piața Italiană, 24 Vasile Lascăr Street. Entry is free.
Festa di Rusalii Brings Bucharest to the Italian Table
Festa di Rusalii is built around a simple and warm idea: bringing Bucharest “to the table”. The event connects the Romanian celebration of Rusalii with the atmosphere of Italy’s National Day and the inauguration of Piața Italiană as a lively public space.
For one weekend, the square becomes a place for food, conversation, music and shared urban energy. The programme includes a community meal, special guests, live music, concerts, DJ sets, tastings, activations, art moments and a dedicated area for children.
Tutti a Tavola Brunch, Tastings and Italian-Inspired Moments
One of the central moments of the weekend is the Tutti a Tavola brunch, a community-style experience centred on gathering people around food.
Visitors can also expect tastings, partner activations and surprise moments throughout the weekend. The event is not only about food, but about the atmosphere of a public square animated by people, flavours, music and local stories.

DJ Music
The evenings bring DJ sets directly into Piața Italiană: on Saturday, Cabi Mic, the DJ project of Cabral Ibacka, takes over the decks. On Sunday, Vlad Craioveanu continues the weekend mood with another DJ set in the square.
The event also includes authentic live music and concerts, making the programme suitable for both a daytime visit and an evening stop in the city.
A Weekend Event for Families and City Explorers

Festa di Rusalii is also designed as a family-friendly event. A dedicated children’s area is included in the programme, making the weekend accessible to visitors who want to bring their kids.
For tourists and residents alike, the event offers a relaxed way to rediscover Piața Italiană and the surrounding area. It is a public, open-air celebration in central Bucharest, with food, music, children’s activities and a social atmosphere rather than a conventional festival format.
