    Traffic Restrictions in Bucharest for L’Étape by Tour de France

    On September 1, Bucharest hosts L’Étape Romania by Tour de France, the most famous cycling race in the world dedicated to amateurs and enthusiasts. The event will block essential arteries of the Capital starting at 07:00 in the morning, and they will be returned to traffic after 14:00.

    For the third year, Bucharest is on the international map of the prestigious L’Étape event, offering competitors waiting at the start the unique experience of the champions right at home: a traffic-free capital, three exceptional routes, the highest standards of organization and a festive atmosphere that celebrates sport and belonging, with participants supported by family, friends, colleagues.
    Piata Unirii, the starting point

    On September 1, traffic will be restricted starting at 07:00 in the morning until 14:00 on the following streets and arteries: Unirii Boulevard, Mircea Vodă Boulevard, Unirii Splaiul on the direction to Bucharest, Decebal Boulevard, Basarabia Boulevard, Calea Victoriei, Regina Elisabeta Boulevard, Schitu Măgureanu Boulevard, Știrbei Vodă and Ion Câmpineanu streets, Kiseleff Street, Buzești, Berzei, Vasile Pârvan, Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu streets, and Libertății Boulevard.

    L’Etape Romania: Race and Awards Ceremony Schedule

    • 07:30 – those registered for the 14-kilometer City Adventure route will start from the Palace of Parliament area;
    • 08:30 – those registered for The Ride route, 42 kilometres long, will start the race;
    • 10:00 a.m. – those registered for The Race route, 85 kilometres long, will start the race;
    • 13:30 – the awards ceremony in the Race Village, when activities and surprises are planned for competitors and visitors.
