National Park: Parcul Național

The National Park (Parcul Național), formerly known as "23 August Park," is a renowned green space in Bucharest. It is home to the National Sports Complex and the Football House, the headquarters of the Romanian Football Federation.

Before 1989, the park was known as "23 August Park." It remains a significant part of the Lia Manoliu Sports Complex, which covers approximately 40 hectares. The complex includes the National Arena Stadium, an athletic track, football fields, tennis courts, a swimming pool, an ice rink, a gymnastics hall, and a parachute tower.

Developed on a partially wooded area with water features, this park occupies a space historically known as Bariera Vergului before World War I.
