Get ready for the adrenaline-fueled excitement of SkyRun 2025, the premier tower-running event hosted at SkyTower Bucharest, the tallest building in Romania.
On Saturday, November 8, 2025, between 10:00 AM and 2:30 PM, SkyTower Bucharest will host the 6th edition of SkyRun, Romania’s most iconic stair-running charity competition.
Part of the “SKY’S THE LIMIT” annual program, SkyRun 2025 raises the bar once again. For the first time, participants will face a breathtaking challenge: 36 floors, 720 steps, and 126 meters of vertical ascent inside the tallest building in Romania.
SkyRun 2025 welcomes runners of all levels, offering three unique race categories designed to make the event accessible, inclusive, and exciting for everyone:
- FunSkyRun – a non-competitive race for children and teenagers aged 7–13, who can participate alongside a parent or guardian (up to two children per adult; participation for children is free).
- Individual Race – a competitive category for juniors aged 14–17 and adults, with separate divisions for men and women. There’s no upper age limit. Last year, a 77-year-old runner proudly crossed the finish line and received her participation medal!
- Corporate Challenge – a team-based race for companies that want to test their endurance and boost team spirit together. Teams must include at least two participants.
A Global Challenge in the Heart of Bucharest
For the first time, SkyRun 2025 is part of the Towerrunning Challenge, organized by the Towerrunning World Association in collaboration with the World Federation of Great Towers. This means that professional runners from around the world will compete in a dedicated category worth 120 TWA points. Competitors can also register directly through the official TWA website.

- Climb Again, a non-profit organization that offers climbing and therapy sessions for children and young people with disabilities.
- Mia’s Children, an association that provides daily tutoring, care, and counseling for disadvantaged children and youth at risk of neglect or abuse.
- SOS Children’s Villages Romania, which has been providing family-based care for children without parental support for over 30 years.
- Autism Voice, an association dedicated to the recovery of children with autism, pioneering ABA therapy in Romania.
