Soro Lume Restaurant

Soro Lume is a neo-Romanian restaurant that brings to life forgotten recipes, ancestral techniques, and the culinary richness of Romania’s diverse micro-regions. Created by Chef Mihai Toader and Melinda Teohari, this unique concept is the result of extensive research across the country, tracing back old cooking methods and flavors that once defined rural Romanian cuisine.

Set in a cozy house with a charming terrace, Soro Lume invites guests into an intimate dining experience centered around open fire cooking. The restaurant features handmade traditional ovens built from brick and clay, each inspired by a specific region—like the Bucovinian oven, Oltenian ogeac, monastic stove, and Transylvanian grill and smoker.

The seasonal menu is built entirely on local ingredients, combining fire-based techniques with modern presentation and a strong multicultural touch. Each dish tells a story of Romania’s forgotten flavors, reinvented through creativity and deep respect for tradition.

At Soro Lume, food is more than nourishment—it’s heritage reimagined, served with heart, smoke, and soul.
