Bucharest Street Art Festival takes place for the first time between May 11 and 19, 2024, in three spaces in Bucharest:
May 11-12 at the Combinatul Fondului Plastic, Bucharest
May 15 – Conference „Street Art and Vandalism in Bucharest” at the Goethe Institute
May 18-19 at the National Museum of Contemporary Art
Bucharest Street Art Festival proposes an open discussion about the role and responsibility of street art in the city. The event is the continuation of the former Bucharest Stickerz Fest.

The actions take place at the Plastic Fund Complex on May 11 and 12, the „Street Art and Vandalism in Bucharest” conference is scheduled for May 15 at the Goethe Institute, and the festival moves to the National Art Museum Contemporary (MNAC) on May 18 and 19.
At Combinatul Fondului Plastic will be presented, among other things, a 100m² graffiti made by a selection of the most talented and active Romanian street artists, mural-calligraphy Not Bob, two murals signed by Ortaku and Letinu Filip, collages with stickers and paste-ups, an urban art exhibition and there will also be a screening of the first documentary about graffiti and street art in Romania, „Why do they write on the walls,” in the presence of the film team who will answer questions from the audience. There will also be street art workshops with John Dot S (RO), mutabel (GER) and Box With Wings (HU).
On May 15, the Goethe Institute Bucharest is hosting an open discussion about street art in Bucharest, moderated by Cristi Neagoe, manager of Street Delivery. Artists, graffers, representatives of the authorities, and people involved in the city’s cultural life are invited.
At the Museum of Contemporary Art, there will be various artistic interventions from the street art area on the museum terrace (stickers; paste-ups – Ortaku; tape art – Fuxundschalter (GER); calligraphy – Vice Calli), the experiment „Toilets at the Museum of Contemporary Art become spaces for 2 days public expression”, in which two groups of artists (Ilustromania & Să Fiți Cuminți – Behave Yourselves) will draw in the bathrooms, so that during the event, the participants will be able to intervene as they please in the same space, just like in a public space intended for its inhabitants.
