Theodor Aman Museum

Theodor Aman Museum is one of the most beautiful private residences in Bucharest, built in 1868, following the projects of the owner, painter Theodor Aman. It is also one of the few residences that have not undergone changes over time, being the first artist-house workshop in Romania.
From the plans of the house and the exterior decoration (made in collaboration with the sculptor Karl Storck) to the interior decoration - mural painting, stained glass windows, a decoration painted on carpentry, stucco ceiling, workshop frames, and furniture of the house - all are the reflection of Theodor Aman's vision.
The Theodor Aman Museum was opened in 1908 and is one of the oldest memorial museums in Romania. It conveys to the visitors the atmosphere of the private life of the Belle Epoque period in Romania.
