Urban Arts Festival brings two days of street culture, dance, sport, visual art and live music to Alexandru Ioan Cuza Park, widely known as IOR Park, on August 29 and 30, 2026.
The new Bucharest festival brings together five urban competitions: Street Dance & Breaking, K-POP Dance Cover, Graffiti, Kendama and Skate. Visitors can watch the competitions, demonstrations and live performances throughout the weekend, then stay for the evening concerts featuring Killa Fonic and Deliric.
Admission to Urban Arts Festival is free.
Five urban competitions across IOR Park
Urban Arts Festival is organised around five dedicated competition areas spread across one of Bucharest’s largest parks. Each discipline has its own programme, competitors and atmosphere, allowing visitors to move between dance battles, skateboard tricks, live graffiti and kendama challenges.
Street Dance & Breaking
Urban Arts Battle takes place on Sunday, August 30, on the Main Stage. The competition includes individual Breaking and Hip-Hop battles for children and adults, as well as a 2 vs 2 Open Styles competition.
Dancers will progress from the initial cypher rounds to direct elimination battles and finals. Performances will be judged on musicality, technique, creativity, originality, stage presence and the ability to adapt to music selected by the organisers.
The Street Dance & Breaking programme runs from 11:00 to 19:00.
K-POP Dance Cover
The Main Stage will host the K-POP Dance Cover competition on Saturday, August 29. Solo performers and groups will recreate choreographies inspired by their favourite K-pop artists in front of the festival audience and a competition jury.
The event is open to spectators who want to discover the local K-pop dance community, support the competitors and watch a full day of performances on the main festival stage.
UNU la UNU – Graffiti Battle
Insula Artelor inside IOR Park becomes the festival’s graffiti area during both days. Artists will create new works in front of the public as part of UNU la UNU – Graffiti Battle.
Visitors can follow the creative process throughout the weekend and see how each work develops from its first outlines to the final composition.
Kendama Open
Kendama Open takes place on August 29 and 30 in the Calul Titanilor area of IOR Park. The competition is open to players aged six and above, with separate Beginner, Intermediate and Pro categories.
The daily kendama programme runs from 10:00 to 19:30. Visitors do not need to enter the competition to attend, watch the challenges or support the participants.
Bucharest Skate Open
Skatepark Titan hosts Bucharest Skate Open throughout the festival weekend. The competition is open to skateboarders with different experience levels, divided into Under 16, Open 16+, Women, Freestyle Amateur and Freestyle Pro categories.
Saturday includes participant check-in, the technical meeting, warm-up and competition rounds. Sunday is dedicated to the final stages and awards ceremony. The programme also includes a Best Trick award and special mentions.

Killa Fonic and Deliric live at Urban Arts Festival
The competitions will be followed by free evening concerts on the Main Stage.
Killa Fonic performs on Saturday, August 29, at 20:45. A former member of Șatra B.E.N.Z., the Romanian artist has developed an extensive solo catalogue that moves between hip-hop, trap and experimental urban sounds.
Deliric takes over the Main Stage on Sunday, August 30, at 20:45. Known both for his solo career and his work with CTC and Silent Strike, Deliric is one of the established names of the Romanian hip-hop scene.
Free admission and competition registration
Public admission to Urban Arts Festival and the evening concerts is free.
Participation in the competitions is also free, but competitors must register online before the deadline established for each discipline. Registration details, competition rules and subsequent programme updates are available on the official Urban Arts Festival website.
