Ville Valo, the former frontman of HIM, is bringing his solo tour, „Neon Noir,” to Bucharest on April 8th, 2024 at the Palace Hall – Sala Palatului.
This tour marks a new chapter for Valo after HIM disbanded in 2017. Performing under the moniker VV, he released his debut solo album „Neon Noir” in early 2023. The creation process was solitary, with Valo playing all the instruments himself during the pandemic.
Musically, VV draws inspiration from heavyweights like Black Sabbath, Type O Negative, and Fields of the Nephilim. But his artistic influences extend beyond music. Valo cites literary giants like Edgar Allan Poe, Charles Baudelaire, and Charles Bukowski as shaping his creative vision.
A music scene veteran since 1991, the 46-year-old Valo hails from Helsinki, Finland. He began his musical journey as a bassist and drummer before co-founding HIM in 1991, where he took center stage as lead singer and songwriter. Over the years, he has collaborated with acts like Agents, The 69 Eyes, and Apocalyptica. Valo’s signature baritone voice is renowned for its incredible range, making him a true standout in the music world.

On the Neon Noir Tour, Bucharest fans won’t miss this chance to experience VV’s unique brand of dark and atmospheric rock.
