Urban Playfield comes to Bucharest on September 5 and 6, 2026, transforming IOR Park into an open-air space dedicated to sport, movement and games.
The event takes place in the IOR Park, also known as Alexandru Ioan Cuza Park. Activities are organised between 10:00 and 20:00 on both days, and admission is free.
Sport and Games for Children and Adults
Urban Playfield encourages visitors to participate rather than simply watch from the sidelines. The programme includes sports demonstrations, group training sessions, volleyball, kempo, gymnastics, dance, competitions and games for children and adults.
Local sports clubs, instructors and special guests will coordinate the activities throughout the weekend.

What Is Urban Playfield?
Urban Playfield is a national project that brings recreational sport and play into public spaces across Romania. The events are designed for participants of different ages and fitness levels, encouraging people to rediscover movement through accessible games and community activities.
The Bucharest event is part of the Urban Playfield 2026 national tour, which also visits Sibiu, Oradea, Alba Iulia, Constanța, Cluj-Napoca, Craiova and Brașov.
