Bread After Reaping Wheat Fair is taking place this weekend at the „Dimitrie Gusti” National Village Museum, and it will present the customs of the various people regarding the growing of wheat, and the production of bread will be displayed.
Visitors will get the chance to learn more about how wheat was traditionally farmed, harvested, stored, and ultimately processed into bread during a guided tour titled „The Path of Bread in the „Dimitrie Gusti” National Village Museum.”
The documentary „Focul viu” [The Living Fire – editor’s note], directed by Camelia Moise with assistance from the Suceava County Council, also touches on traditions and how to preserve them.
On the stage of the fair, additional performers include the Ensemble of the Russian Lippovans’ Union from Romania, the „Cununa Carpatilor” [Carpathian Wreath] Folk Ensemble of the „Tinerimea Romana” National Art Centre, the „Dor, dorulet” vocal group from the Romanian Folk Music School, and others.
