Bucharest Coffee Festival, an event exploring coffee culture, craftsmanship, and creative entrepreneurship in the field, returns to Hala Laminor from Friday to Sunday.
What to Expect at Bucharest Coffee Festival
The festival takes place on about 5,000 square meters of Hala Laminor and brings together hundreds of industry specialists from Romania and abroad and coffee and related product enthusiasts. Over 200 national and international coffee producers, processors, distributors, and importers, businesses operating in the HoReCa sector: cafes, artisanal roasters, and To Go cafes, will be present. Importers and distributors of related products, including coffee-making accessories, sweeteners, sweets, and professional coffee machines, will also attend this year’s edition.

Visitors will be able to taste over 500 types of coffee.
Along with the professionals in the field, coffee lovers nicknamed ‘home baristas’ are welcome due to their passion for various preparation methods.
During the three days of the festival, attendees can taste and purchase coffee-based products involving different preparation methods: espresso, filter coffee, V60, or freshly roasted pot coffee. During the festival, demonstrations of preparation, mixology, and latte art will also be held.
During the festival, those interested in the coffee industry can identify partners and opportunities to start and develop a business in the field in a specially arranged lounge, where members of the International Coffee Association (SCA—Specialty Coffee Association) will be present. Workshops dedicated to producing, distributing, and preparing coffee will also occur in the SCA Lounge.
This year, the Bucharest Coffee Festival hosts competitions for coffee professionals, with the participation of specialists from all over the country and the most essential coffee companies and cafes. The Bucharest Coffee Festival has popularized speciality coffee in Romania through national barista competitions.
The 2025 edition competitions are four national championships in Latte Art, Coffee in Good Spirits, Barista and Ibrik.
The winner of each competition will represent Romania at the World Championships, which will be held in Geneva between June 26 and 28 and in Milan between October 17 and 21.
Bucharest Coffee Festival for Kids
For the first time, a space will be set up at the Bucharest Coffee Festival for children to participate in various creative workshops. The little ones can practice their talent by drawing with coffee beans, ‘coffee-flavoured slime,’ and ‘punch needle,’ an embroidery technique.
