The show „100 Violins” of the Budapest Gypsy Symphony Orchestra returns to Romania for an exceptional concert in Bucharest, on June 10 at the Palace Hall. The tourists visiting Bucharest are invited to attend the concert of the biggest „gypsy symphonic group” in the world.
What is so special about them? They sing dressed in lively folk costumes, including the clarinet and dulcimer in the orchestra and they are not using music sheets. Until its establishment, in 1985, no one had ever seen anything like this.

Budapest Gypsy Symphony Orchestra is a Hungarian symphony orchestra of Romani (Gypsy) musicians. It emphasizes works by composers inspired by Hungarian folk and urban music including Franz Liszt, Johannes Brahms, Vittorio Monti, Piotr Tchaïkovski, Johann Strauss and Johann Strauss II. The orchestra has been performing for 30 years as a classical symphony orchestra.
The beginning of this group is a legend. The starting point was the funeral of Sandor Jaroka, an exceptional instrumentalist and conductor. His death brought together the community of musicians, who came with their instruments to say goodbye to their spiritual leader. From the sadness of that moment, this fabulous orchestra was born, which, over time, was present on the biggest stages of the world, at the most prestigious festivals.
