East European Comic Con returns to Bucharest from September 11 to 13, 2026, transforming the National Arena into a meeting place for fans of movies, television series, comics, gaming, cosplay, anime, manga, Japanese culture, board games, trading card games and technology.
The famous San Diego Comic‑Con International was the primary source of inspiration for the event. After many editions, the East European Comic Con has become one of the most important events of its kind in Europe and the most crucial event in Eastern Europe.
This is quite an opportunity for those in the city on a city break, and who love this genre.
For three action-packed days, visitors will immerse themselves in a world filled with cosplay contests, video game competitions, exclusive celebrity guest appearances, and exciting competitions, including anime quizzes and illustration challenges.
Whether you’re a devoted fan or a curious newcomer, the event offers interactive experiences where attendees can meet actors, artists, and creators, take part in autograph sessions, and discover a vibrant marketplace with merchandise that every geek will love.
Guests at East European Comic Con 2026
The guest line-up announced for the September edition includes James D’Arcy, known for Oppenheimer, Avengers: Endgame and Agent Carter; Danielle Rose Russell from The Originals and Legacies; Amita Suman from Shadow and Bone; Luca Pasqualino, known for Skins, Snatch, Rivals and Shadow and Bone; Clinton Liberty from House of the Dragon; Hannah New from Black Sails, Bridgerton and Maleficent; and George Webster, known for The Doll Factory, Industry and Versailles.
Visitors can attend panels and take part in photo and autograph sessions with selected guests. Actor appearances are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, while individual attendance may vary. East European Comic Con 2026 Schedule
The September edition of East European Comic Con takes place according to the following programme:
- September 11, Friday: 3 PM–8 PM
- September 12, Saturday: 10 AM–7 PM
- September 13, Sunday: 10 AM–7 PM
Friday is primarily for exploring the event, shopping areas, and street food, and the actors will not attend that day. Saturday is usually the busiest day, and all announced guests are expected to appear, except those whose attendance is limited to a specific day. Guests are also scheduled to appear on Sunday, which is generally less crowded.
East European Comic Con 2026 will take place from September 11 to 13 at the National Arena. Alongside meetings with international actors, visitors can explore cosplay activities, gaming competitions, K-pop performances, board games, photo booths, panels and a large marketplace featuring comics, collectibles, clothing, artwork and pop-culture merchandise.
Tickets are available for individual days and multi-day access, subject to availability. Photo opportunities and autograph sessions with actors are purchased separately from the general admission ticket.
How to Get to East European Comic Con
The event takes place at the National Arena, with access available from Bulevardul Basarabia and Bulevardul Pierre de Coubertin.
Visitors using public transport can reach the venue by bus, trolleybus or metro. Piața Muncii station on lines M1 and M3 is approximately a 15-minute walk from the Basarabia entrance, while Piața Iancului station on the M1 line is approximately 20–25 minutes from the Pierre de Coubertin entrance.
Parking spaces near the stadium are limited, so public transport or ride-sharing services are recommended.
East European Comic Con has been part of Bucharest’s pop-culture scene since 2013. The September 2026 edition brings another full weekend of actors, cosplay, gaming, comics, anime and interactive experiences to the National Arena.
