The 27th edition of the George Enescu International Festival begins on Sunday, August 31, in Bucharest.
PRESELECTION CALENDAR FOR GEORGE ENESCU FESTIVAL 2024
The application deadline for the cello, violin, and piano sections is May 17, 2024.
For the Composition section, the application deadline is June 30, 2024.
The Preselection will take place between May 17 and June 10, 2024.
The cello, violin and piano preselection results will be announced on the website on June 14, 2024.
GEORGE ENESCU FESTIVAL 2024: COMPETITION CALENDAR

31st of August 2024 – Opening concert of the 19th edition of the George Enescu International Competition and Award Gala for the Composition Section. The concert program will include a concerto performed by the three First Prize winners from the previous edition.
Cello section
· First Round: 1 – 3 September 2024
· Second Round: 5 – 6 September 2024
· Semifinal: 8 September 2024
· Final: 10 September 2024
Violin Section
· First Round: 7 – 9 September 2024
· Second Round: 11 – 12 September 2024
· Semifinal: 14 September 2024

Piano Section
· First Round: 13 – 15 September 2024
· Second Round: 17 – 18 September 2024
· Semifinal: 20 September 2024
