British-Italian singer-songwriter Jack Savoretti returns to Bucharest on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, for an open-air concert at Arenele Romane. Access begins at 19:00, while the advertised starting time is 19:30.
The Bucharest performance is part of the artist’s extensive We Will Always Be The Way We Were Tour, supporting the studio album of the same name. The tour includes 29 concerts across the United Kingdom and continental Europe, making it Savoretti’s largest tour to date.
Jack Savoretti Returns to Bucharest in September 2026
Jack Savoretti has developed a strong relationship with Romanian audiences over the past several years. His previous appearances included concerts at FORM Space in 2022, Arenele Romane in 2024 and Sala Palatului in 2025.
The 2022 and 2024 performances were announced as sold-out concerts, confirming the artist’s popularity among Romanian listeners. His return to Arenele Romane in September 2026 will once again place him in an open-air venue particularly suited to his combination of intimate songwriting, cinematic pop and full-band arrangements.
The concert will take place near the beginning of the European tour. The tour opens in Athens on September 25 before continuing through several European countries and later reaching the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The We Will Always Be The Way We Were Tour
The 2026 tour takes its name from Jack Savoretti’s ninth studio album, We Will Always Be The Way We Were, released on April 10, 2026.
Recorded at Eastcote Studios in West London, the album reconnects Savoretti with the direct storytelling and live instrumentation that defined the beginning of his career. The record was created with members of his long-standing touring band and captured largely through live studio performances.
The project marks approximately two decades since the release of his debut album, Between the Minds. Rather than attempting to recreate his earliest work, Savoretti approaches the new album from the perspective of an artist returning to familiar musical territory with considerably more experience.
The 13-track record moves between acoustic songwriting, late-night ballads, expansive pop arrangements and Italian-influenced rhythms. It includes Do It for Love, co-written with Miles Kane, Only Gonna Cry for You, featuring Steph Fraser, and Tempting Fate, a collaboration with KT Tunstall.
A New Album Built Around Live Performance
We Will Always Be The Way We Were was written and recorded with an emphasis on spontaneity and the interaction between Savoretti and his musicians. This approach makes the material particularly suitable for a concert tour, where the arrangements can develop beyond their studio versions.
The album combines the emotional directness associated with Savoretti’s earlier recordings with the polished, cinematic sound that characterised albums such as Singing to Strangers and Europiana.
Its title reflects several of the record’s recurring ideas: nostalgia, personal change, acceptance and the parts of a person that remain recognisable despite the passage of time.
Following its release, the album entered the UK Official Albums Chart at number two. It became Savoretti’s fifth Top 10 album and the highest new entry of its release week.
From Between the Minds to Two UK Number-One Albums
Jack Savoretti released his debut album, Between the Minds, in 2007. His early work established the distinctive combination that would remain central to his career: an expressive, raspy vocal style, acoustic guitar-led songwriting and lyrics focused on personal relationships, separation and emotional uncertainty.
His commercial breakthrough accelerated with Written in Scars in 2015 and Sleep No More in 2016, both of which reached the UK Top 10.
In 2019, Singing to Strangers became his first number-one album in the United Kingdom. Recorded in Rome, the album introduced a broader cinematic sound and included some of his most recognisable songs, such as Candlelight, What More Can I Do? and Love Is on the Line.
He returned to the top of the UK Albums Chart in 2021 with Europiana, a record influenced by Mediterranean summer music, European pop and the soundtracks of classic Italian cinema. The two releases established Savoretti as one of the most successful British singer-songwriters of his generation on the album charts.
What to Expect from Jack Savoretti’s Bucharest Concert
The complete Bucharest setlist has not been announced. The performance is expected to combine songs from We Will Always Be The Way We Were with material from across Savoretti’s career.
His catalogue includes tracks such as:
- Candlelight
- Love Is on the Line
- What More Can I Do?
- Written in Scars
- Home
- Catapult
- Soldier’s Eyes
- Who’s Hurting Who
- Too Much History
- We Will Always Be The Way We Were
- Do It for Love
- I Hear You Calling
Savoretti’s concerts generally alternate between quieter vocal-led moments and larger arrangements performed with his full band. His gravelly voice remains the central element, but the live sound also draws on folk, soul, pop-rock and Mediterranean influences.
The Arenele Romane setting should allow the show to retain the intimacy of a singer-songwriter performance while providing the scale required for the more expansive songs from his later albums.
The Concert Venue: Arenele Romane
Arenele Romane is located inside Carol I Park, south of central Bucharest. The venue regularly hosts major rock, pop, alternative and electronic concerts during the warmer months.
The semi-circular arena includes seated sectors and a standing area in front of the stage. For the Jack Savoretti concert, the venue will operate in an open-air configuration.
Visitors should arrive early, particularly those holding tickets for seated areas. According to the event conditions, seats are not individually reserved and are occupied in the order in which guests arrive.
The venue can be reached from central Bucharest by public transport, taxi or ride-hailing services. Visitors using public transport should allow additional walking time through or around Carol I Park.
