In March, the Bucharest City Hall begins the conservation and protection works of the Solacolu Inn, from Calea Moșilor, a famous street in Bucharest. The building is now abandoned, and, unfortunately, it looks exactly like you see in the below picture.

Unfortunately, this is not the only historical building in Bucharest that lost its former glory. Tens or even hundreds of these once-beautiful architectural gems are about to fall, and the current legislation can do very little about it.
After making the building safe, the consolidation works will begin, respecting the original elements of the historical monument building.
The comparison image below shows what it’s supposed to look like after restoration.

Located in Sector 2 of the Capital, close to Unirii Square, the inn was built by the Solacolu brothers in 1859. The building was originally the first pasta factory in Bucharest; the exterior facade was equipped with shops, opening onto the famous commercial artery of Bucharest, Calea Moșilor.
There are lots of historical buildings in Bucharest. Only a few of what we have on our dedicated page are in the link. More others wait to be presented on our platform, and we will certainly do that to the delight of the international tourists visiting our capital city.
