Bucharest celebrates a brand-new tradition this autumn: Oktoberfest Bucharest, an event that arrives in the Capital for the first time. As in its original version, Oktoberfest brings the joy, beer, and music of Bavaria to the Verde Stop Arena from October 23 to November 9, 2025. Enough time to decide the perfect Bucharest City Break period, isn’t it?
Oktoberfest Bucharest: The Spirit of Munich Arrives in Romania’s Capital

After years of success, Romania’s most famous beer festival reaches Bucharest. The opening day, October 23, begins with a lively parade of allegoric carriages through Sector 2, followed by the traditional barrel-tapping ceremony, the official signal that the beer is flowing and the celebration begins.
For over two weeks, Verde Stop Arena will transform into a “Little Munich,” complete with large beer tents, long wooden tables, and a festive Bavarian atmosphere.
Visitors can enjoy German classics like bratwurst, schnitzel, pretzels, and sauerkraut, along with Romanian favourite traditional food such as mici and grilled sausages. Every drink is served in the festival’s signature one-liter mugs, just like in Munich.
Concerts and Live Music
Each night, the festival hosts concerts featuring well-known Romanian artists. Among those announced are Direcția 5, Zdob și Zdub, Bere Gratis, Iris, Compact, Azur, and Spitalul de Urgență.
The combination of live music, beer, and great food guarantees a lively atmosphere for both locals and visitors.
