West Side Christmas Market is the name the organisers gave to the Christmas Market held at Drumul Taberei Park in Sector 6.
In 2025, the West Side Christmas Market promises to be more attractive than ever and will stay longer than in previous years. The Sector 6 Christmas Market has already reached the 4th edition, so for this year, expect even more than you have experienced.

After this Sector’s massive success with West Side Flowers Fest and West Side HalloFest, this time, West Side Christmas Market promises to surprise Bucharest residents and international tourists with one of the most spectacular Bucharest Christmas Markets ever organised.

Drumul Taberei Park will look like a fairy tale. Also, West Side Christmas Market will thrill the audience even after New Year’s Eve, unlike other Christmas markets in Bucharest, which don’t.
This year, the organisers are preparing a magic show with concerts, lighting decorations, a skating rink, a Ferris wheel, traditional food and crafts, and many other attractions to delight little ones and adults alike.

Tips for visiting the West Side Christmas Market

- Come during the week if you want to avoid the biggest crowds. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays after 18:00 are usually the busiest times.
- Dress warmly – Drumul Taberei is open and can feel quite cold in winter evenings, especially if you plan to stay longer and enjoy the lights, rides and concerts.
- Plan your route – decide which entrance to use (depending on your metro, tram or bus stop) to avoid walking too long around the park.
- Keep an eye on the official programme – concert dates, Santa appearances and special evenings are announced gradually as the season approaches.
Suppose you are staying in Bucharest during the festive season. In that case, West Side Christmas Market in Drumul Taberei Park is one of the key winter experiences on the west side of the city and a good complement to the central Christmas markets at University Square and in front of the Palace of Parliament.
The weather in Bucharest in winter will attract a vast crowd to Drumul Taberei Park during the festival, so make sure you take all the measures to get there by public transport, if possible, as the area will be jammed with cars. Stay tuned for more details about the schedule and all the attractions to be announced shortly.
The entrance to West Side Christmas is free.
